The Elder Scrolls VI official artwork from the trailer

Well, I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that Bethesda has finally stopped re-releasing Skyrim in order to start working on The Elder Scrolls VI. The bad news, as you might guess from the title alone, is that it's currently very early in development and likely a few years off.

Right now there are absolutely no details to comb over, but what I can show you is the recently posted teaser trailer. I believe it shows off the region of Highrock, though given that my TES lore is a bit rusty you might want to take that with a few grains of salt. Either way, here's the rather lovely video:

As far as improvements are concerned, I would like The Elder Scrolls VI to bring with it a greatly enhanced combat system, as well as some more interesting quest design. After all, one shouldn't be able to become the head of the Mage's Guild by only solving problems with an oversized mace to the face. I'm not expecting a return to Morrowind's complexity and political intrigue, but even going half-way would be a massive improvement over Skyrim's rather lacking quest design.

Once more information arrives I'll make sure to let you know as I'm quite curious myself, but until then I'll leave you with the trailer for Skyrim: Very Special Edition. It's quite an amusing one, so I'd definitely recommend you give it a look. Enjoy!
