The Elder Scrolls Online is poised to become a lot more interesting as the fairly generic fantasy setting will soon be getting bolstered by the completely outlandish landscapes of Morrowind. Once the expansion arrives on June 6th players will be able to revisit the legendary island of Vvardenfell, Vivec City, and Seyda Neen, as well as indulge in some new armor, weapons, cosmetics, and encounters.

If you're interested in seeing what this new interpretation of Morrowind looks like in action, you'll find the recently posted gameplay trailer right below. Despite its name it doesn't feature much in terms of straight up gameplay, but it does a rather good job of showcasing some of the more unique vistas and enemies Morrowind has to offer. Have a look:

For those of you wishing to learn more about The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind I would recommend either the official website or Steam. If you're just looking for the price, however, the standard Morrowind upgrade will set you back €40/$40. The Digital Collectors Edition on the other hand is €70/$70, and it brings with it an exclusive grey War Bear for your Warden, an Armored War Horse mount, a Dwarven Spider pet, unique character emotes, and an equally exclusive Morag Tong armor set. Whether these cosmetics are worth the extra €30, that I'll leave for you to decide.

And finally, here's a couple of the newly released Morrowind images:
