The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel United artwork

When The Elder Scrolls Online first arrived it really wasn't anything special, just another generic MMO in a sea of other generic MMOs. However, after many months and a whole bunch of patches Bethesda has managed to turn it into something a bit more unique, and more importantly, something a bit more exciting to play!

All of this culminated with the most recent "One Tamriel" update, so if you're interested in seeing what The Elder Scrolls Online looks like nowadays I'd recommend you check out the video below. Have a gander:

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, you'll be glad to hear that The Elder Scrolls Online is currently free-to-play, and will remain so until the next Monday, November 21. In order to give it a try you'll need to download ESO from Steam, but also create an ESO account in order to actually access all of that content. And that's pretty much it! The only thing that remains is to give it a try and see if this is the sort of MMO experience you've been looking for.

For those of you that end up having a blast I have some further good news as The Elder Scrolls Online will be on a 67% discount until November 23. As such, you'll have plenty of time to decide whether you want to pull the trigger on ESO, even after the free weekend has passed. Oh, and its also worth mentioning that there is no subscription requirement, and that your free-to-play progress will carry into the full version. Have fun!
