The Elder Scrolls III: Multiplayer mod screenshot of combat with 2 players

Pretty much every popular singleplayer game gets a couple of multiplayer mods announced, but more often than not they end up being canceled due to technical problems. In the rare case where a multiplayer mod actually gets released, like the Just Cause 3 Multiplayer mod for example, there are no NPC or quests to undertake as synchronizing those things between multiple players is a nigh impossible task.

With all of that said, I hope you can now understand just how impressive it is that The Elder Scrolls III: Multiplayer mod developers have managed to achieve nearly full quest and NPC synchronization! The whole thing is still quite buggy and obviously lacking in polish, but this is only the first step towards having a proper multiplayer version of Morrowind!

The newest version of the mod is already available, so if you would like to test things out and see how far the mod has progressed you'll find the download link on Github. On the other hand, if you would like to learn more about the mod or its developers I would suggest heading over to the most recent Steam post. Its a bit lengthy, but it will give you a good idea of just what The Elder Scrolls III: Multiplayer devs are trying to achieve, and where exactly the mod stands right now. If you prefer the short version, however, you'll also find a brief video teaser right below. Enjoy!
