After receiving a whole bunch of nominations for a wide variety of categories, Valve has just recently come out to announce all of the finalists. So if you're interested in dishing out silly rewards for your favorite games, or just the ones that you feel actually deserve recognition, make sure to head on over to Steam and cast your vote.

The whole process will last until January 2nd, with each new day bringing with it a vote for a new category. If this is your first time hearing about the whole process I'm afraid it does mean you've missed out on a couple of votes, but worry as there are still plenty of awards to give out.

As for the winners, you can expect to see them announced shortly after the final vote, on January 3rd. That said, I would recommend not getting too upset if your favorite game ends up falling just short of first place. The Steam Awards ceremony seeks to celebrate the most unique and interesting games out there, so the categories are intentionally broad and open to interpretation, which means that upsets are not only likely but also expected. And at the end of the day that's exactly what makes the Steam Awards fun!

You can learn a little bit more about the Steam Awards, as well as check out the full list of nominees, by visiting the original announcement.
