Terraria trailer is showcasing new the new grappling hook, crimson enemies, new graphics and more

I'm looking at my Steam account right now and it says I played 200 hours of Terraria, an absolutely insane number for what I originally thought would be a funny little 2D Minecraft clone. What I got instead was a rather unique game with plenty of things to do and regular content-filled patches that kept me hooked on it for months at a time.

And now, watching the teaser trailer for Terraria: Otherworld I can't help but feel that Terraria itch calling me to once more for a final playthrough. The trailer, titled Swing Grappling, showcases the new and improved grappling system, some rather pretty visuals and a scary new rendition of the Crimson, have a look:

As you might imagine, the planned 2015 release date for Otherworld isn't happening and here's why:

"Simply put, the game is not ready yet - as we laid out in the beginning, we will only launch a game when we feel it meets our standards as a finished product. Terraria: Otherworld hasn't reached that point yet, though very strong progress has been made.

The team continues and will continue to work hard in the months ahead to get T: OW to a place where we will be proud to release it to you and it will be worthy of your support and expectations. All we will say at this point is that our goal is to get this done and in your hands during 2016, but we will provide further information and spoilers as we move forward."

If you're interested in some spoiler-filled game details head over to this Terraria forum page though to be perfectly honest there isn't much for you to spoil yourself on, its just a bunch of images of items, locations and a bit of quest dialogue so I wouldn't worry too much if you want to take a sneak peek.

As for me, I'll be keeping a close eye on Terraria: Otherworld and if any more news shows up I'll make sure to keep you updated.
