Telltale's The Walking Dead: Michonne is releasing this February

Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 1 is in many ways the game that saved the story-focused adventure genre from certain extinction. Its combination of believable characters, mature storytelling and the inclusion of the all-popular zombies resulted in a game that became a classic the moment it released.

If after finishing Season 2 you found yourself itching for more I have some good news because Telltale has recently announced that their mini series titled The Walking Dead: Michonne will be premiering on February 23rd. Here's the trailer:

The Walking Dead: Michonne will be a three episodes long series that will bridge together the canon of Robert Kirkman's comic with that of Telltale's TWD series. The story will focus around Michonne, portrayed by actress Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black) during her untold journey between comic issues #126 and #139.

The first episode titled "In Too Deep" will be releasing this February 23rd for the PC, Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 as well as Android and iOS devices on February 25th. Thankfully the wait between each episode won't be a couple of months long this time around as the series is expected to wrap up in April.

I might have some issues with how The Walking Dead: Season 2's story was handled but let's face it, it was still an extremely well done game that despite its flaws managed to present an very compelling story carried by some great characters. In other words, I look forward to seeing what Telltale will cook up for TWD: Michonne.
