Techland is a publisher and developer most famous for their action-oriented games such as Call of Juarez, Dead Island, and the most recent Dying Light. With such a specific set of games behind them, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that their next game is Pure Farming 17: The Simulator... wait a minute!

In a strange turn of events, Techland has teamed up with the independent studio Ice Flames in order to shake up the farming simulator genre and to deliver a "complete farming experience". The announcement "trailer" itself won't tell you very much, but you can at least get a glimpse at what Pure Farming 17 is going to look like:

As for their reasoning behind creating a farming simulator game after all those zombie related titles, Pure Farming 17's Lead Producer had this to say:

"We realize there are a lot of farming sims out there already, but the more we looked the more we realized they all seemed to fall short on certain features or ideas that are actually integral in real farming. And the fans have been saying this for years, telling developers what they would love to see included. With Pure Farming, we’re aiming to be the ones who deliver on what has been missing all these years."

More information is unfortunately not available right now, but Pure Farming 17: The Simulator will be showcased during Gamescom later this month. As for the release date, I think its safe to assume its going to be arriving at some point in 2017, though the specifics are once again unavailable.
