If you're looking for a new team-based shooter that isn't a battle royale game, you might want to check out Hi-Rez's Rogue Company. Expect to see objective-based game modes spread across a variety of maps, a whole bunch of characters (Rogues) that come with their own abilities and weapons, as well as a big focus on teamwork and cooperation.

Since trying to explain a shooter through words alone is a bit of a pointless task, allow me to share with you a preview for the newest Rogue Dahlia. It'll give you a pretty good idea of what Rogue Company looks like in action, what the characters are about, and whether it's your cup of tea or not. Have a peek:

Personally, I find Rogue Company to be a rather unexciting, though still well designed shooter. It's not something I can see myself playing for a long period of time, but I certainly had a nice bit of fun with it. So while that might not be a glowing endorsement, I'd say it's still worth checking out if the whole concept seems like it's up your alley.

Speaking of which, it's also important to mention that Rogue Company has only just launched into Open Beta. So if you'd like to give it a try and see what it's like first hand, you can do so for free on both PC and consoles alongside a whole host of new players to keep you company.

Have fun!
