After being teased for a little while now, Stellaris's major Story Pack "Distant Stars" has now finally been released. As its name would imply, Distant Stars is a discovery and exploration focused DLC that will have you venture into the darkest corners of space in search of mysterious anomalies, ruins of long-forgotten civilizations, and even signs of absolutely gigantic space-faring creatures.
Since all of this doesn't exactly tell you what to expect in terms of gameplay, allow me to show you the recently posted Feature Breakdown dev video. It should give you a pretty darn good idea of what Distant Stars brings to the table and whether its something you might be interested in. Have a look:
I haven't played it myself, so take the following with a few grains of salt, but so far the reviews seem to be quite positive. There's a fair bit of new and interesting content to explore, so if you're looking to expand your Stellaris playthrough it wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up Distant Stars. Whether you consider all of this worth €10, however, that I'll leave for you to decide.
You can learn more about Distant Stars, as well as Stellaris itself, by visiting either the official website or Steam. Enjoy, but do try not to anger the moon-sized critters floating around space!
