[Update]: Steam's Autumn 2020 sale has now arrived alongside the Steam Award nominations.

If you find yourself in the luxurious position of having too much money and free time, and you wish to remedy that clearly horrible situation, you'll be happy to hear Steam's massive Summer Sale has now arrived! While there are sadly no fun gimmicks like in some of the earlier years, the amount of games that are currently on a hefty discount is pretty insane, so the whole thing is well worth checking out regardless.

For those of you that aren't sure what to even look for, or simply want to try out something a bit different, allow me to share some of personal recommendations. All of these are games I've greatly enjoyed over the past few years, so if the concept seems even remotely interesting, I'd highly recommend looking into them. For now, however, here's the list in no particular order:

• Resident Evil 7 (~10€, 67% discount)

• Stardew Valley (~8€, 40% discount)

• Titanfall 2 (~6€, 80% discount)

• The Forest (~7€, 60% discount)

• Subnautica (15€, 50% discount)

• Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (~7€, 75% discount)

• Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition (~18€, 60% discount)

This is obviously only a tiny part of what's available, so I'd also advise diving into the sale yourself, especially the indie section. That's how I found stuff like Stardew Valley and Hollow Knight eons ago, and those ended up being games that have devoured far more of my free time than I'm comfortable admitting, so it's well worth the trouble. But whatever you decide to do, just make sure to do it before July 8th as that's when the Summer Sale will be going away.

Have fun with all of the new games, and if you're reading this before June 28th, make sure to also grab the excellent Shadowrun Trilogy for free over at GOG!
