Summer of Pride 2020 Steam Sale official artwork

The Summer of Pride 2020 sale is now underway on Steam, and as you might imagine from the name alone, it features a variety of discounts on queer-positive games. Pretty much all of the games on offer are indie and fairly niche, though there are also some recognizable ones like Gone Home, Tacoma or the Outer Wilds.

"We want everyone experience the range of diversity bubbling just below the surface of gaming, whether that’s by getting hands-on with the games or watching a beautiful array of diverse streamers find pieces of themselves in the works of queer developers," reads the brief announcement. "Spotlighting creators and media with positive LGBTQ+ representation in characters and storylines saves lives by showing queer youths they are not alone."

I unfortunately know very little about most of the games as they're outside of my area of interest, but I can at least point your attention towards two of them: VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action and Outer Wilds (not to be confused with Obsidian's Outer Worlds). I found them both to be quite captivating, so if you're even remotely curious about what they have to offer, I'd highly recommend giving them a closer look.

The Summer of Pride 2020 will be running until June 25th, so you should have plenty of time to browse through the games and see if anything interests you. And if you're in the mood for supporting charity, you can also check out one of the partnered streams by hopping over to the Summer of Pride website. Have fun!
