After being leaked and rumored for quite a few weeks now, the Steam Autumn Sale has finally arrived with alongside a whole bunch of discounts. There are also some account badges to earn by participating in the sale, though unlike the ones from the early days these badges don't appear to be anything more than a bit of cosmetic fluff.

Besides the sale itself, today also marks the start of the nominations for the Steam Awards - Valve's annual ceremony that seeks to celebrate the most unique and interesting games out there. As such, the categories are quite broad and open to interpretation, so feel free to vote for whatever game you feel deserves the recognition, be it indie or AAA. The Steam Awards nominations will only be open until November 28th, so make sure to head on over to the official website as soon as possible.

Finally, if you're not sure what to grab throughout this sale, allow me to leave you with a couple of my suggestion. I've chosen these games based on their quality and the amount of enjoyment I got out of them over this past year, so if you find something you're even remotely interested in I would highly recommend you at least give it a look. And with that said, here's the brief list:

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition (-60% / €20)

Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition (-50% / €10)

Rocket League (-50% / €10)

Dead Space Collection (-75% / €7)

Total War: Warhammer (-60% / €20)

Doom (-50% / €15)

As always, this is just the tip of the iceberg, so make sure to check out the sale for yourself as you're bound to find tons of interesting games. Have fun, and do make sure to give The Witcher 3 a try - it really is that good!
