During the recent 5th anniversary celebration EA has announced a brand new expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic - Knights of the Eternal Throne. You can expect to see even more cinematic storytelling, a whole bunch of new gameplay features, and one of the biggest updates SWTOR has ever received once the expansion finally arrives at some point this fall.

Since the details on Knights of the Eternal Throne are still fairly light, allow me to share with you the cinematic trailer for SWTOR's previous expansion, Knights of the Fallen Empire. Its one of the best trailers I've seen in recent years, and as one of the Youtube commenters said, it manages to tell a better story in 4 minutes than the entirety of the prequels:

If this announcement has piqued your interest, but you've never played SWTOR and have no idea where to even begin with the story, you're in luck as Bioware has made the first chapter of the prequel story (to the new expansion) completely free. Best of all, if you hate leveling in MMOs you are also able to instantly receive a max-leveled character and simply play through the story at your leisure.
