Star Citizen's development may be moving at a glacial pace, but to the developer's credit it really is chugging along quite nicely. It was only 'a short while ago' that Star Citizen got updated with an FPS module, and soon we will be getting a whole bunch of new content to explore as well.

The Alpha 3.0 Update will add moon landings and explorable surfaces, a planetary rover so you don't have to moonwalk everywhere, and even perhaps most interestingly of all, an incredibly fast hover-bike! As of right now the Alpha 3.0 Update is still under heavy development, so I'm afraid there is no official release date available. What I can tell you is that it will most likely be coming at some point in the relatively near future, though again, nobody besides the developers knows any of the specifics.
