Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition screenshot of the Chaplain class

Space Hulk: Deathwing is one of those games every Warhammer 40k fan has been dreaming of for years. I mean, what could be more awesome than four Space Marines clad in Terminator armor fighting against overwhelming swarms of Genestealers aboard an ancient Space Hulk! Unfortunately, Space Hulk: Deathwing released riddled with more bugs than Genestealers, and the much-anticipated gunplay ended up feeling somewhat bland and underwhelming.

There is still some hope however, even in the grim darkness of the far future, as the developers have announced their plans to release an Enhanced Edition on May 22nd. All of the new content and fixes will be completely free for the PC version, while the PS4 version will launch on that date with all of the content already included.

You can expect to see a deep progression system that lets you unlock cosmetics and perks, a brand new Chaplain class that will feature a host of abilities that help increase the squad's survivability, as well as special missions with randomized objectives in order to keep the whole experience fresh and interesting. Naturally, there will also be new weapons and enemies to toy around with, though the details haven't been revealed just yet.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in-game, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer for the Enhanced Edition. It's well worth the two minutes given how well crafted it truly is:

As I've mentioned earlier there aren't that many details available just yet, but if you would like to learn a little bit more about the Enhanced Edition, or just Space Hulk: Deathwing in general, you should head on over to Steam.
