League of Legends has quite an expansive world filled with a whole bunch of interesting storylines and characters. However, due to League of Legends itself being a MOBA, pretty much the only way you can interact with its universe is by reading snippets of lore or short stories on the website.

So if you're like me and you're looking for a little bit more, you'll be glad to hear that Riot has partnered up with Airship Syndicate to develop Ruined King - a turn-based RPG set in the League of Legends universe! Here's a fairly brief teaser about what Ruined King's story will be about:

Right now the details are basically nonexistent, but what I can tell you is that Ruined King will allow you to play with a variety of Champions (most likely those connected to the city of Bilgewater), as well as advance their storylines and place in the lore. In other words, the events in the Ruined King will push the lore forward and will have an actual effect on the League of Legends universe as a whole.

Once Riot release a gameplay trailer I'll make sure to let you know as I'm quite curious myself, but until then you can read a little bit more about the locations Ruined King will take place in over at the official website.
