[Update]: Fallen Order's sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is heading to PC and consoles on March 17th, 2023.
Given how successful Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ended up being, it should come as little surprise to hear that they have now partnered with Lucasfilm Games to make a sequel! The details are currently nonexistent, but even so, it's good to finally confirm the long-running rumors stating that Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is indeed in development.
The good news doesn't end there, however, as Respawn are actually working on three new Star Wars games in total! The second of the bunch will be a first-person shooter developed at Respawn itself, while the third will be a strategy game produced in collaboration with the freshly formed Bit Reactor studio.
I'd love to tell you more about any of these games, but I'm afraid that right now this is all there is. That said, if you're willing to indulge in a bit of speculation, I do believe the Star Wars strategy game will be turn-based, and perhaps even inspired by XCOM or Civilization. The reason I say this is because Bit Reactor is staffed by a bunch of people from Firaxis Games, so a turn-based game like that would definitely be playing to their strengths.
Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once each of the games get announced. Until then, you can read a tiny, tiny bit more about the future of Star Wars in gaming over at the EA website.
