The Resident Evil 2 remake is set to arrive this January 25th, bringing with it a whole host of improvements over the original. You can expect to see greatly enhanced visuals and voice acting, Resident Evil 4 inspired gameplay rather than the classic 'tank controls' one, support for 4K resolution and stable 60 FPS, and the list goes on for.

While the recently posted trailer won't give you a detailed overview of everything the new Resident Evil 2 brings to the table, it will give you an excellent idea of what the remake will look and sound like. So if you're curious, have a gander:

While I'm not exactly sure how well the gameplay will function once the tank controls are removed in favor of more modern ones, I'm still quite excited to get my hands on the new Resident Evil 2. After all, unlike the Silent Hill HD Collection, it really does seem like the people behind this horror classic have its best interests in mind, even if they are changing some things around to make it more palpable for a modern gaming world.

But enough babbling from me, if you would like to learn more about Resident Evil 2 and it's various features, you should head on over to the official website. The Steam page is currently a bit barebones, but I'd still keep an eye on it for any sort of PC-specific announcements and updates.
