[Update]: Red Dead Online has now gone standalone and is only $5 until February, 2021.

After a brief period of exclusivity, the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is now just about ready to make its way to Steam. According to Rockstar Games' recent tweet, you can expect to see it arrive this December 5th alongside all of the currently available patches.

In other words, most of the bugs and crashes that have plagued the PC version throughout its first few weeks should be fixed for the Steam release. Even so, I would highly advise waiting for some of the user reviews to pop up before grabbing yourself a copy, just to be on the safe side.

As far as the PC exclusive features are concerned, Red Dead Redemption 2 brings with it greatly enhanced visuals and increased draw distance, higher quality snow trails and effects, as well as improvements to both day and night lighting. There's also a variety of other minor graphical enhancements, as well as a couple of new missions, weapons and horses to mess around with. And if you're a fan of taking screenshots, it's also worth mentioning that the PC version will feature a Photo Mode that gives you access to an assortment of tools to help you take that perfect shot.
