After being leaked a rather impressive amount of times, Bethesda has recently come out with the official announcement for Rage 2. As you might expect given the original Rage, the sequel is going to be a first-person shooter set in a dystopian future, though thankfully this future won't be a gray and boring one. Instead, Rage 2 is going to be all about fast-paced gameplay, colorful levels, and ridiculously over-the-top kills.

Since trying to explain this through words alone is a bit of a pointless task, allow me to share with you two of the recently posted gameplay trailers. They'll give you a pretty darn good idea of just what Rage 2 is and whether it's the sort of thing you'd even enjoy. Have a look, they're quite fun videos:

While it is most definitively a sequel, Rage 2 reminds me more of Bulletstorm than its predecessor. If you disregard the constant swearing found in Bullestrom, both games are about tearing through tons of enemies in as creative and brutal ways as you can possibly imagine. I can also see a little bit of Borderland's influence in there somewhere, and to be perfectly honest, that's not actually a bad thing. All of this craziness has given Rage 2 an identity it desperately needed, and from what I can tell so far it's one hell of an identity!

Rage 2 will be coming in the Spring of 2019, so I'm afraid we're going to be in for quite a wait. Once more information becomes available I'll make sure to let you know, though I would also recommend signing up for the newsletter over at the official website
