With the modern Planet of the Apes movies becoming more and more popular it was only a matter of time before someone decided to make a tie-in game. Thankfully, instead of a dreadfully generic third-person action game the newly announced Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is a Telltale-esque adventure that seems to be quite faithful to the source material.

Since trying to explain these types of games through words alone is not the easiest of tasks, allow me to share with you the recently posted gameplay video. Its decently lengthy, and with pretty much all of the gameplay mechanics on display it should give you a good idea of whether Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is something you'd be interested in. From what I can tell this appears to be less of a classic adventure game and more of a "choose your own adventure" book in video game form. Whether that's a good or bad thing I'll leave for you to decide, but I really do hope our choices will have far more impact than what was shown in this gameplay trailer.

Whatever the case may be, we at least won't have to wait for too long in order to find out as Last Frontier is set to arrive this fall to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. As a final note, here's the official reveal trailer just to give you a general idea behind the story. Enjoy!
