Widowmaker's Summer Games 2017 bikini skin

After what feels like an eternity of waiting and rumors Overwatch has finally received its second annual Summer Games event. As you might expect it has arrived with a variety of beach themed skins, all of the old and awesome cosmetics such as Nihon Genji and Americree, as well as a competitive version of the Lucioball game mode.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in game, wonder no more as Blizzard has released a brief teaser showcasing some of the new content. So if you don't mind a little 'spoiler', have a look:

In order to make Lucioball a bit more serious than last year Blizzard has removed the ability to boop other players, and also reworked Lucio's ultimate so it no longer vacuums the ball to you, but rather gives you an absurdly massive speed boost. I still think its a bit too slow when compared to Rocket League, but its still a step in the right direction. Furthermore, playing competitive Lucioball will give you four Competitive Points per win, as well as a relatively large bundle of points once the season ends. So even if you're like me and you're not interested in the game mode, I would still recommend you play your ten placement matches as that will give you about 1/3 of a golden weapon for barely any time investment.

That's pretty much it as far as relevant information is concerned. All that remains is for you to get in there and hopefully score some of the awesome new skins. Speaking of which, allow me to send you off with a couple of my favorites:
