If you ever wanted to give Overwatch a try, now would be a perfect time to do so. The recently introduced Anniversary 2018 update has brought in an absolute ton of new and old cosmetics, as well as all of the previous seasonal events, including both PvE and PvP game modes. So whether you're a fan of wacky game modes or just good ol' competitive play, the current version of Overwatch has you covered.

The most important reason, however, is the simple fact that Overwatch is having a free weekend on both PC and consoles until Monday, May 28th. Besides the above mentioned Anniversary 2018 update, the free weekend will give you access to all 18 of the currently available maps, all 27 of the heroes, all of the cosmetic loot boxes, and naturally, all of the game modes. Long story short, you will have access to everything Overwatch has to offer, with the only exception being the competitive mode, for obvious reasons.

For those of you wondering whether Overwatch is actually worth your time, I would say the answer is a definite yes. I've spent hundreds of hours with it over the past two years, and outside of the occasional break I don't see myself quitting any time soon. Much like any game, Overwatch has its problems and the occasional boneheaded balance change, but as a whole it is a truly remarkable game and one that has managed to provide me with a nearly endless source of enjoyment. You might end up disliking it, and that's perfectly fine, but I do believe it's at least worth a try since you might just find something truly captivating.

But enough blabber from me. You can find out more about the free weekend, as well as figure out how to download Overwatch, by visiting the official website. And just for good measure, allow me to leave you with the most recent trailer for the Anniversary 2018 update. Enjoy!
