Overwatch screenshot of Warlock Ashe from the Halloween Terror event

If you were hoping for Overwatch to mix things up and bring in a drastically different Halloween event, I'm afraid you're out of luck as this year's Halloween Terror is mostly the same. On the positive side, the cosmetics this time around are absolutely amazing, even when compared to the extremely high standards set by the previous Halloween events!

The one new thing this year's event has added, however, is three weekly challenges, with each one offering a brand new skin for Junkrat, Baptiste and Sombra respectively. Most importantly of all, the Sombra skin is the awesome-looking Demon Hunter Sombra from last year's Blizzcon! All you really need to do in order to unlock these skins is win nine matches throughout each of the three weeks, be this in Quick Play, Competitive or Arcade game modes.

You can get a pretty good idea of what these skins look like, as well as take a bit of a sneak peek at some of the new highlight intros, through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander:

Besides all of the Halloween cosmetics, this update has also brought in some major nerfs to the currently dominant double shield meta. There's far too many chances to cover in brief, so if you're interested, make sure to head on over to the official patch notes to learn more.

Have fun with the Halloween event!
