[Update]: These changes have now gone live alongside the release of Open Queue as an alternative competitive mode.

Brigitte is in a bit of a curious position right now. Instead of being the anti-flanker hero like she was originally designed, she is actually far better at enabling Tracer and Genji to rampage across the enemy backline thanks to copious amounts of armor.

However, it would appear that Blizzard is not happy with this development, as they have now released an experimental update that has quite heavily nerfed Brigitte. The experimental mode has also brought in some nice D.Va and Junkrat buffs, as well as a minor nerf to Ashe's dynamite. Here's the full list of changes:

Ashe

 Dynamite

- Cooldown increased from 10 to 12 seconds

Brigitte

 Repair Pack

- No longer grants an additional armor health pool when healing full health targets

 Barrier Shield

- Maximum health increased from 200 to 250
- Regeneration rate decreased from 100 to 85 health per second
- Cooldown when destroyed increased from 3 to 5 seconds

D.Va

 Fusion Cannons

- Movement penalty reduced from 50 to 40%

 Defense Matrix

- Cooldown reduced from 1.5 to 1 second

 Micro Missiles

- Activation delay reduced from 0.5 to 0.25 seconds

Junkrat

Concussion Mine

- Trigger delay reduced from 0.156 to 0.1 seconds

 RIP-Tire

- Time to take control of Junkrat post detonation has been reduced from 1.5 to 0.9 seconds

While I do believe Brigitte is a little bit overtuned right now, I don't think these changes are appropriate. The shield nerf, while strange, isn't that big of a deal so I can understand that. However, the repair pack no longer granting an overheal is far too severe, because it essentially removes Brigitte's niche as a support - both when it comes to defending people and supporting offensive flankers. As such, I can only hope these changes will end up getting pulled back like the recent Moira ones.
