Despite releasing over ten years ago, Left 4 Dead 2 still has a rather sizable playerbase. And for good reason too, because even though there have been countless co-op games released since then, very few have managed to hit that perfect balance between utter chaos and excellent team-based gameplay.

With all of that in mind, I am more than pleased to say that Left 4 Dead 2 is soon getting another major update - The Last Stand. The details are unfortunately lacking, but according to the brief announcement, The Last Stand will be "created by the community, for the community."

As for whether this will be a fully fledged campaign, a brand new game mode or perhaps even something completely different, I'm afraid I don't know. However, judging by the teaser you'll see right below, I have a feeling The Last Stand will indeed feature a proper co-op campaign. Have a peek:

Once more information becomes available I'll make sure to let you know, but until then all we can do is wait. So if you've never played Left 4 Dead 2 and you're curious what all of the hubbub is about, you should also hop on over to Steam to learn more. Enjoy!
