During the recent RTX, a gaming convention hosted by Rooster Teeth, Halo Wars 2's brand new campaign trailer has been unveiled. Unfortunately, it doesn't showcase any new gameplay footage, but at the very least it does add a bit of context to the all-out brawl between humans and aliens.

You will find the video right below, though be prepared for some slight audio issues as this was recorded from the audience and is by no means official footage:

From what little is known so far, humanity will be represented by the crew of Spirit of Fire, awaken from their 28 year-long cryo-sleep due to "something happening". On the opposite side are The Banished, a splinter faction from the Covenant that's equally unhappy with the prospect of sharing their toys with their newfound neighbors.

If you're interested in finding out more I'd suggest you head over to the official website, though don't expect any revelations about the story just yet, it seems to be a closely guarded secret.

Halo Wars 2 will be available on February 21, 2017 for both the PC and Xbox One, and due to the upcoming Xbox Play Anywhere program buying one version will grant you a copy on both platforms.
