Evil Dead: The Game artwork and logo

If you were eager to see what Evil Dead: The Game would look like once it launched at some point this February, I'm afraid I have some bad news to deliver. According to a recent announcement Evil Dead: The Game has now been pushed back to May 13th, which quite fittingly happens to be a Friday!

"When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell," explains the brief developer update. "This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites."

As for what you can expect to see in terms of the action, that you can get a pretty good idea of through last year's gameplay overview trailer. It's a little bit outdated, but it should still get the point across quite nicely. Have a peek:

It's also worth mentioning that the Evil Dead: The Game team will soon be releasing a whole bunch of new information, along with a fancy new trailer. So even though we'll all have to wait a few extra months to give Evil Dead: The Game a proper try, at least we'll have a solid stream of teasers to tide us over until then.

For now, however, you can learn more about Evil Dead: The Game over at the official website.
