[Update #2]: The Phyrexia: All Will be One expansion has now arrived with plenty of poison and proliferation.

[Update]: MTG Arena's January update has nerfed the Goblin Trapfinder combo, as well as buffed numerous Spirits & Samurai.

Now that The Brother's War set has been thoroughly explored, both in Limited and Constructed formats, it's time to start looking towards the future and the upcoming Phyrexia: All Will be One expansion. While things are definitely looking up on the gameplay front, the story is going to be a lot more grim than usual as five out of the ten featured Planeswalkers are going to find themselves compleated and thus switching sides.

Which of the characters have gotten captured and which are now confirmed to be safe, that you'll have to find out on your own as the speculation and anticipation are all part of the fun. You can begin your journey with the first chapter of the new storyline titled Uncontrolled Descent which, unsurprisingly, sees our heroes arrive on New Phyrexia.

When it comes to the actual gameplay mechanics, it looks like Phyrexia: All Will be One is going to revolve around poison counters and proliferation on the Phyrexian side, as well as equipment and tokens on the side of the rebels. While there is still a chance that poison counters can get out of hand like back in the day, the good news is that the previewed and leaked cards shown off so far don't seem to be all that extreme.

Speaking of which, if you don't mind some story and card spoilers, you can check out the full list of leaked and officially revealed cards over at Scryfall. The image quality is, naturally, not the greatest on some of them, but it should still give you a pretty good impression of just what Phyrexia: All Will be One is trying to do.

The final thing worth mentioning is the release date. Phyrexia: All Will be One will be launching onto MTG Arena and Magic Online on February 7th, while the full physical release will be happening on February 10th. That said, Phyrexia: All Will be One cards will be legal on the tabletop version as soon as the pre-release starts on February 3rd, so in a way that's going to be the 'true' physical release date.

Once all of Phyrexia: All Will be One's cards get revealed, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, enjoy the last few weeks of The Brother's War!
