Mordhau is an upcoming medieval, melee-focused multiplayer game that aims to be as faithful to the time period as possible. Once it's fully finished it will feature massive battles with up to 64 players, as well as equally massive siege equipment to help blast said players apart. You will also be able to fight on horseback and on foot, use a wide array of weapons including bows and crossbows, and the list goes on.

While the recently posted developer update won't show you all of these things in action, it will give you a pretty good idea of what archery and mounted combat will be like, as well as what sort of zones you'll be expected to conquer. Have a look, it's quite a fascinating video:

I've been following Mordhau ever since the first preview was released, and I have to admit I'm actually impressed with how far it has come. I'll reserve my judgement for when I finally get my hands on it, but from everything I've seen so far it genuinely looks like Mordhau has the potential to once again revive the melee multiplayer genre, something I've been itching for ever since Chivalry and War of the Roses faded away.

Whether Mordhau will succeed, that still remains to be seen, but at least we won't have to wait for long as it's expected to release in early 2019. Once more information becomes available I'll make sure to let you know, but until then you should visit the official website to learn more.
