Mirage: Arcane Warfare screenshot featuring the Vigilist in battle

Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a spiritual successor to Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, though with a far greater focus on spellcasting and unique character abilities. The previous video showcased the Taurant class in all of its brutal and incoherent glory, while today's teaser features the much more pleasant, albeit equally deadly Vigilist.

Her role on the battlefield is that of a guardian, endlessly protecting her vulnerable (and often suicidally aggressive) allies, while also dishing out devastating spells that have the potential to completely obliterate unaware opponents. If you're wondering what all of this might look like in action, here's the video:

The sign-ups for the closed alpha have long since stopped, but if you would like to secure a place in the upcoming beta you can do so by heading over to the official website. The invites are most likely going to be handed out at random, but worry not, there will be numerous beta events so everyone will eventually get a chance to dive in.

And finally, if you're interested in some actual gameplay and not just random cut-outs, you can find a lengthy preview by heading over here. The footage is from an early alpha version, so expect to see quite a few bugs and graphical issues, but it should still give you a good idea of what Mirage is all about. Enjoy!
