While most people have been expecting Skate 4, Microsoft has decided to take things in a bit of a different direction by announcing the fairly realistic skateboarding sim Session. According to the brief description, Session is all "all about authenticity and creativity", and as such players won't have to worry about how many points their tricks are going to be worth. Instead, what they should worry about is whether or not they're even capable of landing those tricks in the first place given that Session will have a unique control scheme that "gives players full control".

If you're curious, you can get a glimpse of Session in-game through the recently posted E3 trailer. Have a gander, it's well worth a minute if you're into skateboarding games:

The release date has not been announced just yet, but you can expect Session to arrive for both PC and Xbox One.

Once more details bubble to the surface I'll let you know, but until then you can learn more about Session by visiting its original Kickstarter campaign. The information is a bit outdated at this point, but it should still give you a good idea of what Session is all about.
