Vampyr is a newly released and vampire themed RPG from Dontnod, the studio behind Life is Strange and the unfortunately rarely remembered Remember Me. It tells the story of a doctor trying to prevent a deadly plague from spreading throughout all of London, all the while wrestling with his vampiric curse that forces him to feed on those he's trying to save. A fairly solid premise for an RPG, I'm sure you'll agree.

If you're curious about what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, however, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It's not very long, but it'll give you a decent idea of the sort of atmosphere and tone Vampyr is going for. Have a gander:

I haven't had the time to play Vampyr myself, but from what I've seen online opinions are somewhat mixed. I don't mean that in the sense that Vampyr currently has middling reviews across the board, but rather that it's one of those games that people seem to either absolutely love or absolutely hate, with very little in between. Where exactly you're going to fall on that spectrum, I'm afraid that's something I can't exactly tell you, so if you're curious about Vampyr do make sure to do a bit of research before springing for your wallet, just to be on the safe side.

You can start by visiting either the official website or Steam. You'll find plenty of information and videos to peruse on either website. And as a final note, I'll leave you with one of the recent story trailers, just for good measure. Have fun trying to save London!
