Killing Floor 1 was never a very serious game, and this was reflected through its updates as well. Given that Killing Floor 2 is more or less a continuation of Killing Floor 1 it won't come as much of a surprise to hear that it has inherited its sense of humor as well, which in the case of the most recent update means that all of the nasty mutants have been transformed into hilarious circus freaks and evil clowns!
All of this might sound completely demented on first glance, but its actually pretty damn cool to see all of your favorite enemies transformed into classic circus parodies... with a bit of a twist. But rather than just babble on, allow me to instead show you what all the new enemies look like through the recently posted teaser trailer. Have a gander:
Besides reskinned versions of all of the mutants, the Summer Sideshow update has also brought with it a brand new map filled with environmental hazards, as well as the customary achievements. There are around 50 new items to acquire through normal gameplay, a couple cosmetics available as paid DLC, and most importantly of all, two new and exclusive skins you can only unlock by completing a set of objectives for the new "The Tragic Kingdom" map.
The event will end on July 11th, so even if you discovered it a few days too late like me you'll still have plenty of time to collect most of the new cosmetics. If you would like to learn more you should head over to the official website, and if you don't have Killing Floor 2 at all you'll find it at a 50% discount on Steam. Have fun!
