Jurassic World Evolution is an upcoming building and management sim that draws inspiration from the fairly ancient yet still enjoyable Operation Genesis. What this means in gameplay terms is that you'll not only be able to create and maintain your very own Jurassic Park, but also bio-engineer entirely new dinosaur species! And since playing god is rarely a cheap endeavor, you'll also need to construct a variety of attractions and safety features in order to keep a steady flow of tourists coming to your park.

Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the very first and very lengthy developer preview. It unfortunately doesn't go into too much detail as far as fancy dinosaurs are concerned, but you'll at least get a pretty good idea of what Jurassic Park Evolution is really all about. Have a look:

From what I can see it's a fairly simple formula, but much like Operation Genesis it's one with a whole lot of potential. Potential that's highly likely going to end up being realized given that Planet Coaster's Frontier Developments are the ones behind the whole project! I certainly hope it does because Jurassic World Evolution is a genuinely fun idea that I can easily see myself losing hours upon hours with. After all, who doesn't want to create their very own dinosaurs!?

Jurassic World Evolution will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 12th. You can learn more, as well as follow its development moving forward, by visiting either Steam or the official website.
