[Update #2]: Hogwarts Legacy has now arrived, and I'm happy to say that it's looking quite good so far!

[Update]: Hogwarts Legacy devs have now detailed the PC system requirements and their expected performance.

If you were hoping to get your hands on Avalanche's Hogwarts Legacy action-RPG at some point this year, I'm afraid I bring some bad news. According to the latest announcement, Hogwarts Legacy has now been pinned for a 2022 release date on both PC and consoles, with no specific date given just yet.

"We would like to thank fans from around the world on the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label," reads the very brief update. "Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us so we are giving the game the time it needs."

I would love to tell you more, especially about the gameplay itself, but I'm afraid that's pretty much everything that has arrived with this update. Once more information becomes available, ideally alongside a lengthier gameplay preview, I'll make sure to let you know.
