Hearthstone's Kobolds & Catacombs expansion official artwork without logo

It was known for a while that Blizzard will announce the next batch of cards during Blizzcon 2017, but what no one could've guessed is that they will also reveal a repeatable single-player adventure! Each run through the dungeon will help you strengthen your hero and your pre-built deck, with the end goal being to defeat eight progressively more challenging bosses. A pretty damn good concept in my eyes, especially since all of it will come for free to all players!

The recently posted trailer won't exactly give you a good look at the gameplay side of things, but I would still suggest you give it a look as it helps set the tone quite nicely. Have a look, its a rather fun trailer:

In terms of new content you are looking at 135 new cards to collect, nine of which will be legendary weapons that are used for much more than simply smacking the enemy over the head. There will also be a new Recruit keyword that does exactly what you might imagine, as well as spells that you can upgrade by completing what is essentially a mini-quest. You can find a few examples, as well as a small overview of the new adventure mode, over at the official website.

Hearthstone: Kobolds & Catacombs will be coming this December, though the exact release date has not been announced just yet. As always, you can also pre-purchase 50 Card Packs for €50/$50 via Battle.net in order to receive a bonus card back, though I wouldn't personally recommend it as its just ridiculously expensive for the amount of viable cards you'll actually get. And as a final note, let me leave you with a couple of friendly Kobolds:
