Hearthstone official artwork for the Troll King Rastakhan

Hearthstone's latest expansion Rastakhan's Rumble arrived a little while ago with 135 new cards in tow, as well as a couple of new mechanics to play around with. While that is certainly a large influx of new cards, they have unfortunately not be able to make much of an impact on the meta given how entrenched and well-optimized some of the decks have become over the past few months.

With that in mind, I am delighted to announce that Blizzard has now revealed nerfs to pretty much all of the meta decks, and perhaps most importantly, nerfs to Druid's most powerful ramp spells! Here's what's changing:

Wild Growth – Will cost 3 mana. (Up from 2)

Nourish – Will cost 6 mana. (Up from 5)

Level Up! – Will cost 6 mana. (Up from 5)

Saronite Chain Gang – Now reads: Taunt. Battlecry: Summon another Saronite Chain Gang.

Leeching Poison – Will cost 1 mana. (Down from 2). Now reads: Give your weapon Lifesteal this turn

To be perfectly honest, I'm actually quite impressed that Blizzard has reacted this quickly. Hopefully now that most of the top decks have received a big hit, some of the newly introduced cards will finally find a deck to shine in. Who knows, maybe even the much-anticipated Gonk Druid lists will find themselves rising to the top despite being in a bit of a mediocre spot right now.

Whatever the case may be, we'll find out soon enough as these nerfs are set to arrive this December 19th. Oh, and much like the previous nerfs and changes, all affected cards will be disenchantable for full value for two weeks after the patch.

You can read a little bit more about the nerfs, as well as follow Hearthstone's developers moving forward, by hopping over to the official website.
