Guild Wars 2 screenshot of the new PvP mount Warclaw

While Guild Wars 2 has some of the most fun mounts around, they are unfortunately not available in PvP modes due to balance reasons. After all, any semblance of strategy would break down rather quickly if people were able to just fly over the battlefield and straight onto the objectives!

In order to avoid this problem, as well as give PvP players something fun to mess around with, ArenaNet has now announced a PvP focused mount by the name of Warclaw. As you would imagine from an extremely angry and oversized cat, Warclaw will be able to lunge at enemies, break down doors, as well as use its stamina meter to avoid attacks and move at a rapid pace. Here's how all of that will look like in-game:

Once it arrives on February 26th as a part of a free update, you'll be able to acquire the Warclaw by simply playing in the World vs World (WvW) mode. Additionally, there will be a double WvW experience event running from February 26th to March 5th, so you should be able to get your hands on the new kitty-kat without too much trouble. Oh, and it's also worth mentioning that while the Warclaw is a PvP-focused mount, you will still be able to summon it wherever other mounts are allowed.

You can check out the Warclaw in action, as well as follow Guild Wars 2's development moving forward, over at the official website.
