For Honor artwork for the Pirate hero

In an effort to experiment with some unusual hero designs and ideas, Ubisoft has now introduced a fifth faction into For Honor - the Outlanders. Unlike the previous factions, however, the freshly introduced Outlanders are not a cohesive group with a unifying culture, but rather a diverse batch of adventurers, mercenaries and opportunists.

With that in mind, it probably shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to hear that the very first member of the Outlanders faction is a notorious Pirate! Here's a brief rundown of what she's like in action:

If all of that looks like it's right up your alley, then you can grab the Pirate for $8 alongside a fancy ornament, outfit, seven days of Champion Status as well as three scavenger crates for good luck. On the other hand, if you don't care for all of the cosmetic extras, you'll also be able to grab the Pirate for 15,000 Steel once she becomes unlockable on February 10th.

As for the future, Ubisoft is already planning to add two more Outlanders, though the exact details on who they'll be are still shrouded in mystery. What I can tell you, however, is that they won't be pirates. Instead, they'll likely be another wacky but fan-favorite character archetype to throw into the mix to help spice things up.

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once Ubisoft spills the beans. Until then, you can read a little bit more about the Pirate, as well as check out some of the player reviews, over at Steam. Have fun!
