If you've managed to hold off from buying Fallout 4 you'll be glad to hear that the Game of the Year Edition has now been announced, and that it will be coming with all of the DLC. As expected, there will also be a variety of balance and gameplay chances, graphical improvements, mod support for both PC and consoles, as well as a variety of other tweaks and adjustments.

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will be available on September 26th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. While it does offer a significant discount on all of the DLC, the GOTY bundle will still set you back a rather sizable $60. On the positive side, if you're willing to wait a few more months you'll probably be able to get it a 50% discount, which is pretty damn good value for the amount of content on offer!

Whether its any good or not, however, that's a bit of a difficult question to answer. I've done a detailed review a while back so if you're interested in all of my thoughts you can find it over here, but long story short, Fallout 4 is a highly enjoyable shooter with some of the worst writing I've seen in quite a while. So if you're going into it with action and exploration on your mind chances are you'll have a blast, but if you're looking for a spiritual successor to Fallout: New Vegas you're probably going to tear your hair out.

You can learn a few more tidbits of information by heading over to the official announcement. And finally, here's the original launch trailer to help set the mood. Enjoy!
