If you ever wanted to give Fallout 4 a try but were somewhat hesitant due to all of the drastically different opinions about it, now would be your chance to do so! Simply head on over to Steam, click on that giant green "Play Game" button, and you'll be exploring the wasteland in no time.

You should keep in mind, however, that this free weekend will only last until February 4th, so make sure to start your playthrough as soon as possible. If you end up liking what you see and wish to continue on with your adventures, you'll be glad to hear that Fallout 4 will be on a 50% discount until February 12th, while the GOTY Edition containing all of the DLC will be on a 40% discount. Your save file, as expected, will carry over to the full version.

Whether Fallout 4 is actually worth your time and money, I would say the answer is a tentative yes. It's a rather poor successor to Fallout: New Vegas, especially in terms of storytelling and dialogue, but the world is vast and interesting to explore, so I feel it's still worth a playthrough.
