Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is Capcom's quickest selling PC game

As I've mentioned before Dragon's Dogma has been one of those games that I always wanted to play but never could because I didn't own a console. So imagine my surprise when Capcom just came out one day and said they were not just porting Dragon's Dogma over to the PC but also ensuring its going to be a high quality port.

They weren't joking because as I've found out the PC version of Dragon's Dogma is amazing so I'm very glad to hear that according to an interview with MCVUK Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is Capcom's fastest selling PC game to date. Here's the full quote:

"We are extremely pleased with the performance of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. It is our fastest-selling PC title to date, thanks to an audience eagerly waiting for it, and us delivering to the level of quality gamers were expecting.

Based on a similar sales period, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is in the Capcom's Top Three PC releases after these few weeks, along with Resident Evil and Dead Rising 3."

The reason all of this is so very significant is because many of the Dragon's Dogma developers are interested in making a fully-fledged sequel but weren't sure there would be any interest in it, a sentiment proven by the fact that they only released the Dragon's Dogma MMO in the East.

Now, with Dragon's Dogma a smashing hit on the PC and Capcom obviously pleased with its performance we might actually see it become a proper franchise, a fact that excites me to no end because even though Dragon's Dogma is a great game, and one that I spent far too many hours on, it still has plenty of room to grow and improve.

Also worth noting is that with increased interest in the West the localization of Dragon's Dogma Online doesn't seem that unlikely anymore and would probably be a wise move from Capcom to drum up even more interest in the franchise in preparation for future projects.

But no matter what happens in the future Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is a great PC game and I'm glad to see that the developers got what they deserved after putting in so much work towards making it great.
