Dota 2 Spring Cleaning update artwork showing creeps sweeping things

[Update]: Dota 2's hotly anticipated Patch 7.32 has now arrived with a brand new lane creep and tons of changes!

If you're itching for a bit of a meta shake up, or at least a couple of tweaks to some of the heroes, you'll be happy to hear that Dota 2's next big update has now been announced. No exact release date has been given just yet, but Patch 7.32 will be launching before The International Regional Qualifiers which will run from September 3 - 18, so I'm expect it to arrive in late August.

Similarly, and this should come as no surprise given that this is Valve we're talking about, not a single change has been revealed just yet. Still, I think it's safe to say that overplayed heroes like Zeus are most likely going to get some nerfs flung their way, while somewhat mediocre ones like poor ol' Primal Beast might get a helping hand. I certainly hope that's the case as it's always sad to see a brand new hero completely vanish from the meta.

While I've seen a fair few people call for some drastic map tweaks in order to really spice up the gameplay, I highly doubt that's going to be coming with Patch 7.32. It's simply far too impactful of a change to be released right before the qualifiers, so I'm mostly expecting some number adjustments and perhaps a couple of minor hero or item reworks.

Similarly, it's worth mentioning that the recent rumor about the 'Great Confluence' update bringing with it heroes from Underlords, Artifact and Heroes of Newerth has been proven fake. That said, there's still a chance we get a brand new hero with Patch 7.32. The last few numbered updates added one, and it's been a while since Primal Beast arrived, so with a bit of luck we might just get a pleasant surprise in Patch 7.32 as well.

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once the update goes live. Until then, you can read a little bit more about Valve's plans for The International over at the Dota 2 website.
