Dota 2 artwork showing off Clinkz, Underlord and Tinker

[Update #2]: Dota 2's Update 7.31 has added the Primal Beast hero, reworked Techies and rebalanced all jungle creeps.

[Update]: It's official, Patch 7.31 will be launching on February 23, 2022!

With the meta now being firmly entrenched, at least on the ranked ladder, we're mostly stuck watching the same heroes and strategies get played over and over again. So while it might not be a bad one by any stretch, Dota 2's current patch is starting to feel a bit old in the tooth.

If you share that sentiment, you'll be quite happy to hear that a big meta shakeup is just around the corner! According to the most recent announcement, Dota 2's Patch 7.31 will be launching "soon after" the Dota Pro Circuit regional finals end.

Given that this is Valve we're talking about, no exact release date has been given just yet. However, if we assume that 'soon' does indeed mean soon, then it's likely that Patch 7.31 will be launching in either late February or early March.

We similarly have no idea what the gameplay changes are going to be about, but I think it's safe to say heroes like Tinker, Spirit Breaker and Outworld Destroyer will be getting another round of tweaks. Aside from that, I'm hoping for a bit of an item relabance as right now there's a good few of them that just don't see much play and some that are picked up far, far too frequently.

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to let you know once we get some concrete details. Until then, you can read more about the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit over at the Dota 2 website.
