Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim DLC details

For the ~5,000 of you still playing Star Wars Battlefront on the PC I have some interesting news as Dice has recently showcased the upcoming Outer Rim DLC.

It brings with it four new maps, two heroes and an Extraction game mode, but most importantly, the ability to do combat rolls! Here's the trailer and a bit more information on what to expect:

The four new maps will lead you across the smelting factory nestled in the lovely volcanic dump of a world called Sullust, the sail barge garage on Tattoine and even Jabba's famous palace.

Extraction, despite not being explained very well, appears to be a game mode where you need to locate and extract a valuable resource, or piece of intelligence, and then bring the shipment back to your team's transport before the time runs out. From the trailer footage it appears to be very similar to Team Fortress 2's Payload game mode, which if true would be a most welcome addition to Battlefront.

Great for mining, not so much for breathing

Finally, there are two new heroes for you to never get selected for: Nien Nunb who utilizes powerful turrets in order to protect his allies, and good ol' Greedo who seems to have the ability to briefly slow down time in order to... shoot first.

Outer Rim will be arriving to Star Wars Battlefront season pass holders on March 22nd. If you would like to get in on the action, be prepared to spend a sizable chunk of money as the season pass is a stunning €50, yikes.
