Diablo 3 artwork for the Season 22 cosmetic armor sets

[Update]: Diablo 3's Season 27 patch has introduced an awesome array of new and ridiculously strong powers!

If you're looking for an excuse to take Diablo 3 for another spin, you'll be happy to hear the next season is just around the corner. Patch 2.6.10 will bring in a brand new batch of items and balance changes tomorrow, while Season 22 itself will follow shortly afterwards, on November 20th.

Instead of the irritating storms that marked its predecessor, Season 22 will make it so activating any Shrine or Pylon will spawn a shadow clone of your class. The clone will stick around for a full minute and will scale with your power, so I'm expecting to see absolutely ridiculous levels of destruction while it's active.

Additionally, for the duration of Season 22, Kanai's Cube will have a fourth slot available. You will be able to choose any power to jam in there, but sadly it won't stack with powers from the other slots due to balance concerns. Still, it should be a nice bit of a boost.

The final thing worth mentioning are the cosmetics. Season 22 will bring back the rewards from Season 10 (head and shoulder pieces from the Conqueror set, Black Soulstone portraits and the Loremaster pennant), along with a couple of new additions through the "End of Journey" rewards. So if you manage to complete the Season 22 journey, you will be able to snag the Book of Cain pet and the Lost Civilization Portrait Frame.

You can read a little bit more about these additions, as well as check out how the various cosmetics look, over at the official website. Happy demon slaying!
