Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been available on PC, consoles, and Linux for a very long time now, while the Mac version was unfortunately delayed due to its reliance on an upcoming update. Well, Apple's latest graphics API "Metal 2" has been released relatively recently, and as such the Mac version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be following suit next week as well! To be more specific, you can expect to see it arrive this December 12th.

As with the vast majority of ports these days, the Mac and Linux version were not created by the developers themselves, but rather by Feral Interactive. If the name doesn't ring a bell, you might know them from their work on the Mac and Linux versions of Total War: Warhammer 1 and 2, XCOM 2, Tomb Raider, Dawn of War 3, and the list goes on. So far they've had a pretty spotless record, so chances are high that this Mac version will be of excellent quality as well.

Speaking of quality, here's the list of supported devices:

Full Support

All 15" MacBook Pros released since late 2016

All 21.5" Retina 4K iMacs released since 2017

All 27" Retina 5K iMacs released since late 2014

All Mac Pros released since late 2013

Partial Support

15" Retina MacBook Pro released in mid 2015 with an AMD Radeon R9 M370X

The final thing worth mentioning is that you won't have to re-buy Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in order to play the Mac version. Steam has a rather nifty feature that gives you access to all three versions (if available) with a single purchase, so the moment the Mac port goes live you'll be able to install it for free if you already own Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. And with all of that now said, allow me to leave you with one of the trailers, just so you get a bit of a refresher on the Deus Ex world. Enjoy!
