Despite their last few episodes receiving heaps of praise, Telltale Games have unfortunately announced that they are laying off the majority of their employees and slowly closing down their doors. As expected, this has resulted in the cancellation of the long-awaited The Wolf Among Us 2, as well as put the newly released and still unfinished The Walking Dead: The Final Season in a very awkward position.

Episode 2: Suffer the Children will be arriving later today as it was completed before the company went bankrupt, but the final two episodes are currently in a bit of a limbo. While nothing has been officially confirmed just yet, there does appear to be some hope on the horizon as Telltale has just revealed that they are actively working on making sure The Walking Dead: The Final Season ends up being completed, in one form or another.

"Multiple potential partners have stepped forward to express interest in helping to see The Final Season through to completion," reads the short update. "While we can't make any promises today, we are actively working towards a solution that will allow episodes 3 and 4 to be completed and released in some form".

Personally, I don't particularly mind how Telltale and their helpers will finish the season. I just want to see Clementine's story through to the end after already spending many years guiding her from one misadventure to another. Even something as simple as a series of short comics would do the trick, because while not exactly ideal, it would still offer some much-needed closure.

Whatever the case may be, I'll make sure to update you once Telltale releases any more information.
